The Titanic Tragedy Foretold

Perhaps one of the strangest cases of foreshadowing the world has ever known was a novel written in 1898 by Morgan Robertson about a ship called Titan that crashes into an iceberg. And, of course, in 1912, the RMS Titanic crashed into an iceberg as well. Although the novel was written as a work of fiction, it strangely foretold the events of what would come to be one of the most famous disasters of all time.
The novel, which was originally titled Futility, was later changed to Wreck of the Titan.  The similarities between the fictional Titan and the real life Titanic are very eerie.  For instance, both ships met their fate in the North Atlantic in April by running into an iceberg.  Neither ship had enough lifeboats on board, which resulted in the deaths of over 2,000 people.  Both were the largest ships in the world and were wrongly believed to be “unsinkable”.
Also very strange are the sailing routes.  The Titan was sailing from New York to England, while the Titanic’s route was from England to New York.  Both ended up meeting with disaster in the same part of the sea.  They were also both traveling at around the same speed, and had the same number of propellers and masts.  The Titan had an accident with another ship, and the Titanic nearly collided with the New York but fortunately didn’t hit it.
There are also a few differences between the two ships.  The Titanic only bumped or scraped against the iceberg on a clear night, while the Titan runs right into an iceberg on a very foggy night.  The Titanic also had more survivors than the fictional ship did.  The Titanic sank during her maiden voyage, while the Titan had already been on several.

All of this about the Titan occurred during the first half of the novel, and the second half chronicles the adventures of the heroic main character, John Rowland.  He was a drunkard who was dismissed from the Royal Navy, and worked on the Titan as a ship hand.  During the second half of the book, he goes through a number of adventures, including a fight with a polar bear.  He’s eventually saved by a passing ship and works his way up again in society.
While it’s an exciting read altogether, the fate of the Titan is what draws most people into this novel.  Could there be a paranormal reason why this book is so eerily similar to an incident that occurred 14 years LATER?  Or are the differences between the fictional ship and Titanic enough to make it nothing more than a strange coincidence?

THE MYSTERI of EASTER ISLAND

Easter Island holds 887 statues that would take a life = time to build by hand.
Specilation and theories surround the history of easter  Island, which leaves a sort of mystery about the island.
Some believe that people from somewhere else arrived at the island and constructed shines and statues, but some feel that they were the work of disturbed minds, elephants or extra-terrestrials were responsible.  Then there are the Rongorongo tablets that can be deciphered in many ways depending on who is doing the deciphering.

SHAG HARBOR UFO INCIDENT

The Shag Harbopr UFO Incident is one of most bizarre UFO cases of all time. In Oct. 1967, an unidentified flying object crashed in Nova Scotia. Shag Harbor , a small fishing village, was the location of the crash as well as the controversy resulting from it. This village  was so small that it was never even drawn on maps before the incident. The locals of the village always had their tales of ghost  ships and giant sea monsters, but the UFO incident of 1967 undoubtedly gave them something that they would truly never forge and rest of the word would remember with them.

PSYCHIC MEDIUM JAMES VAN PRAAGH

Medium James Van Praagh can see ghosts. Although some say that he is a fraud, he continues to profess his power to communicate with the afterlife . James is the co-executive producer of Ghost Whisperer on Friday nights on CBS. James visited  Loretta Lynn’s mansion after she told him that she has seen ghosts.
Unfortunately, for Loretta james announced that her ghosts were mean and he left without helping. James stated that he saw blood all over and felt that someone was killed in the house.

WAVERLY HILSLS SANATORIUM

Tuberculosis patients enjoying the fresh spring air. One of the most haunted places in the world is Waverly Hills sanatorium.
The Sanatorium was built in 1910 and was to provide hospital care for up to 50 people suffering from tuberculosis. Before the hospital building was complete, people suffering from advanced cases of tuberculosis were sent to the hospital grounds and put up in tents until the hospital was done. By 1916, the hospital could house 130 people. In 1926, the hospital was five stories high to house even more people until a cure was found for tuberculosis, which resulted in the sanatorium closing in 1943.

TASMANIA TIGER

The Tasmanian Tiger or Thlacine have been reported but officially extinct in 1986.
On of the great tragedies of the 20th century was the extinction of the Tasmanian tiger, the largest carnivorous marsupial to have lived in the modern word. Bad enough that this rare beast, found only on the Australian mainland New Guinea and Tasmanian is gone but that its demise was mainly caused by the incursions and depredation of European settlers. It looked very much dog-like im body style and size. In length the Tasmanian Tiger averaged between 3.5 and 4.5 feet long with a tale about two foot long.

ERIC and PAM ELLENDER MURDER

The 1991 murders of Pam and Eric Ellender in Lousiana leaves the family with so many unanswered questions.
Christoper Prudhomme was arrested for the killing, but the family feels that there is more to the murders and more people involved that just Prudhomme. The family has asked that the investigation be re-opened. The Ellenders were found murdered in their bedroom, dead of gunshot wounds.

MYSTERIOUS MEGALITHIC STRUCTURES

Stonehenge, great pyramid of Giza, Pyramid of the Sun, Easter Island Heads, Central America Pyramids; what doa all of these have in common?
They are just a few of the mysterious megalithic structure that baffle us all. A megalithic is a structure made out of giant rock. It could be a monument, statue or some strange pattern consisting of giant rocks. These structures are not just found in one area of the word . In fact, they are found all across the globe. It contains over two milion stones weighing an average of 2.5 stones each.

FACTS ABOUT THE SEVEN WONDERS of ANCIENT WORLD

Egyp’s Great Pyramid at Giza is the only ancient wonder that is still visible today.
It was built as a tomb for the Pharaoh Khufu and was completed in c.2580 BC. Beside this, the largest of the pyramids, there are smaller ones for Khufu’s son and grandson as well as their various queens. Archaeologist’s estimate that is may have taken 100,000 men over a period of 20years to build the Great Pyramid. It was made from more than 2 milion stone blocks and ancient workers assembled those using basic ramps, rollers and levers to affix them together. It is thought that ships could see the beacon 31 miles away.  It also was destroyed by earthquake in the 14th century.

CAMELOT : DID REALLY EXIST ?

The King Athur  legends have fascinated the word for sereval centuries, yet nobody knows who her was really From. We know that according to many legends, he made Camelot his home, but where exactly was Camelot ? was it even a real ?
The oldest known documents about  king Arthur contain no information about Camelot.
The places is not mentioned at all untill the 20th century. When a french poet named Chretien de Troyes mentioned it by name in one of his poems about Lancelot.

HOLLOW EARTH-IS AGARTHA A REAL CITY ?

Many psychics and mediums over the years claim to have channeled information from hollow Earth dwellers.
Many cultural around the word  have  myths and  legends based on the idea that the Earth is hollow. From the ancient times, Greeks believe in the underworld and some cultures even believing that  hell itself really is a fiery place beneath the Earth’s surface.
To modern beliefs that great kingdoms exist down below, there has always been speculation about hollow Earth theories. Evidently, there are subterranean cities beneath the Earth’s surface, where many strange races of people live. Some of cource believe that UFO is come from these cities, where they were built by engineers with advanced technology.

GHOSTLY AND PHANTOM HITCHHIKERS

A strange lady or girl standing next to the road have been reported by many. One recurring ghost story throughout history is of the “Phantom hitchhiker” or “road ghost” . These stories even go back centuries when wagon drivers claimed to have given rides to strange entities. No two stories are exactly the  same , although  they all  do have recurring themes. Some people view road ghosts just to be urban legends and myth.
Perhaps the most well known story is that a driver, upon coming across a strange girl standing next to the road, will ofter her a ride. She seems quite and polite and gives the driver directions to her home.
The driver will drop her off, and then sometime later will find out that the girl living at the home had died months or even years ago.

Lost City of Atlantis

The story of the lost City of Atlantis start in 355 B.C. with the Greeks. The idea that an ancient city or continent became lost to the sea forever is an intriguing concept for us all. There have been many tales of legendary lands coming and going throughout history. The most famous one of all, of course,is Atlantis. Some say it is a lost city while other say it is an entire continent. Some do not believe that Atlantis even existend at all. Whatever Atlantis was or might have been, we may never know. There have been theories put forth by many people over the centuries and many still speculate to this day.

The Taos Hum

Citizens in Britain and portions of the Southwestern U.S. have been complaining about a maddening hum that just won't go away. And researchers have been unable to pinpoint its source. Not everyone can hear the low-pitched hum, and those who do say that it seems artificial in nature - and is driving them crazy.

In 1977, a British newspaper received nearly 800 letters from people complaining of loss of sleep, dizziness, shortness of breath, headaches, anxiety, irritability, deteriorating health, inability to read or study because of the incessant hum.

Most famous in the U.S. is the "Taos Hum". There the annoyance was so acute for the "hearers" in Taos, New Mexico that they banded together in 1993 and petitioned Congress to investigate and help them find the source of the noise. No conclusive causes were discovered. One prevailing theory holds that the hum is created by a military communications system used to contact submarines.

Most hearers say the noise begins abruptly, never abates, interferes with sleep and is more noticeable inside a house or car than outside. Some describe it as sounding like a diesel engine idling in the distance.

Since it has proven undetectable by microphones or VLF antennae, its source and nature is still a mystery.

In 1997 Congress directed scientists and observers from some of the most prestigious research institutes in the nation to look into a strange low frequency noise heard by residents in and around the small town of Taos, New Mexico. For years those who had heard the noise, often described by them as a "hum", had been looking for answers. No one was sure when it began, but its persistence led first a few and then many of those who heard it (called "hearers" by each other) to band together. In 1993 they found their way to Congress.

The investigation Congress requested consisted of a team of a dozen investigators from a number of scientific institutions. Joe Mullins of the University of New Mexico and Horace Poteet of Sandia National Laboratories wrote the team's final report. Other New Mexico research organizations involved included Phillips Air Force Laboratory and the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Concern by hearers that the hum might have been caused by the Department of Defense ensured that the investigation was conducted in the open and that a large number of persons were contacted.
The first goal of the investigative team was to interview hearers and try to determine the nature of the hum the sound it made, its frequency, timing and its effects on those who heard it. Next the team planned to survey residents of Taos and the surrounding communities to determine how wide spread the hum was. Finally, the team was to try to isolate and determine the cause of the hum. Important to their effort was the team's clear interest in deter-mining the cause of the phenomenon, rather than questioning the hum's existence. There was a generally clear understanding by the investigators that something was happening here, but just exactly what it was seemed to defy definition.

The initial investigation focused on ten hearers and determined certain key facts surrounding the hum. It was persistent. It was heard by only a small number of people. The sound was extremely low on the frequency scale between 30 and 80Hz. There was variation in how different hearers perceived the sound. Some heard a sound like the low rumbling of a truck while others heard a more steady, pulsing, yet still low sound. Interestingly, the investigators learned that the sound was not limited to the area around Taos, but was, in fact, heard at places all over the country and around the globe.
Hearers described the increasing problems they were having with the hum. Consistent with the reports and complaints that had brought the issue to Congress in the first place, hearers described the hum as a cause not just of annoyance, but also of dizziness, insomnia or sleep disturbance, pressure on the ears, headaches and even nosebleeds. The hearers were also bothered by the disturbing nature of its existence: it did not seem like a natural phenomenon to them.
According to the August 23, 1993 " Taos Hum Investigation: Informal Report", most hearers initially experienced the hum with an "abrupt beginning, as if some device were switched on." Many of the hearers believed there was a connection between the hum, the military installations in and around New Mexico, and the Department of Defense or that the hum was somehow caused by the U. S. Navy's ELF (Extremely Low Frequency) stations in Northern Michigan. These suspicions made a civilian presence on the investigation team necessary.
After examining ten hearers the team (now including James Kelly, a hearing research scientist with the University of New Mexico's Health Sciences Center) began a broad survey of Taos locals. Their survey of 1,440 residents led the team to extrapolate that roughly 2% of the Taos population were hearers.

Given this large number of hearers, initial exploration of a source for the hum focused on external possibilities for generation of the low frequency hum. While there were isolated instances of hearing within the low frequency range identified by hearers, these tests revealed no consistent background noise which could account for the hum. As Mullins and Kelly concluded, there were "no known acoustic signals that might account for the hum, nor are there any seismic events that might explain it."

Having ruled out external sources the team focused on testing hearers' inner ears and on researching frequency sensitivity. While these investigations are not complete, it appears highly unlikely that the hum is caused by low frequency tinnitus as some have speculated. Mullins and Kelly are more inclined to believe that hearers have developed a specific sensitivity to sounds in the 20 to 100Hz range and therefore are directing their research toward gleaning an understanding of how the ear perceives low frequency energy.

While this approach may help answer the persistent question of the hum's origin, Dr. Nick Begich and Patrick Flanagan (a Sedona-based inventor and scientist), have explored another possibility. Dr. Nick Begich has found some interesting clues in Mullins' own comments that might lead to another source for the hearers' unique ability and, perhaps in the long term, a solution to their near-debilitating problem.

To support the future direction of his research Mullins has pointed out that, as a nation, "...we're slowly building up the background of electronic noise...We're going to more and more cordless things all electromagnetic transmitters. Whether that's the cause of the hum, we don't know, but we can't write it off."
Begich theorizes that the cause of the hum may be found within this electromagnetic background buildup. He believes that there is a mechanism for the transduction of sound which might explain the hum. The key may be hidden in a technology invented by Dr. Patrick Flanagan. NeurophonicTM sound technologies were developed based on an understanding of sound transfer using different "hearing" pathways to the brain. Standard sound measuring and diagnostic equipment would be ineffective in locating the "sound" source.

Patrick Flanagan's NeurophoneTM, invented when Flanagan was 14, is a low voltage, high frequency, amplitude modulated radio oscillator. In simpler terms, the NeurophoneTM acts on the skin of the listener by converting "...modulated radio waves into a neural modulated signal that bypasses the 8th cranial hearing nerve and transmits intelligence directly into the learning centers of the brain." In other words the NeurophoneTM allows the listener to "hear" without having to use the ear canal or the bones and nerves we normally associate with hearing.
Flanagan's patent was approved after a six year fight with the patent office culminating in a test of the device on a hearing impaired patent office employee. The demonstration convinced the patent examiner that the NeurophoneTM worked, even though it appeared to fly in the face of traditional concepts of how we hear. The novel concept with the NeurophoneTM is that we use the skin itself as the neural transmitter.

This concept is actually quite simple. When in the womb, a fetus's skin serves as the primary sensory organ. From it evolve the eyes, the nose and the ears. While the ears specialize in hearing, Flanagan recognized that the skin is also an organ. Consequently, if a way could be found to transmit information through the skin to the brain, then information could be directly communicated to the brain, bypassing the ears. The NeurophoneTM ran radio waves through two small electrodes placed on the skin and essentially used existing neural pathways to directly access the brain.

Flanagan's NeurophoneTM research offers a possible explanation for the Taos hum. As Mullins has pointed out, we are surrounded by a large number of low frequency devices all operating around 60Hz. Given Flanagan's NeurophoneTM concept, it is possible that this concentration of frequency may well be resonating with the skin causing a direct neural link between the skin and the brain. As with the NeurophoneTM, some individuals are more receptive than others. Consequently, some persons' skin could be more receptive to ambient electromagnetic frequencies than others.
Flanagan and Begich speculate that the NeurophoneTM could be pulsed at the frequencies identified by those hearers interviewed by Mullins and the investigative team. If the hum was generated by ambient electromagnetic fields then the NeurophoneTM technology could be used to mitigate it. While Mullins is investigating the ear canal and our human hearing apparatus, Flanagan and Begich believe that the answer is more likely to be found through the pathways established by the NeurophoneTM, which bypass the ear entirely.
Proof of whether or not their theory is correct is reliant upon testing of hearers. If Begich and Flanagan are correct, the NeurophonicTM technology and what has been learned about hearing may well be used to alleviate the suffering of hearers as the search for the source of the hum continues.

The Mystery Of The Carroll A. Deering

Some have said it was mysterious since the same thing happened to the Mary Celeste some fifty years prior. It appeared that someone was preparing food.
The ship was completely deserted. It was another ghost ship. Was this ship so close to the Bermuda Triangle that the forces within the triangle caused the crew to disappear or was it Russia seizing United States ships for some purpose. What really happened to the Carroll A. Deering that fateful day?

The eleven-member crew was gone. The ship was a ghost ship in the waters off North Carolina. The shipment the Carroll A Deering was carrying was coal. The captain and his son, William and S.E. Merritt hired a crew before leaving Norfolk, Virginia in 1920. Shortly after setting sail, the elder Merritt became ill and the ship docked in Lewes, Delaware where both Captain and first mate S.E. Merritt remained and left the ship go with the hired crew. The ships crew found a new Captain named Willis Wormell, who was 66 years of age. Wormell hired Charles B. McLellan to be the first mate.

In September, the Carroll A, Deering set out for Rio de Jenario where she docked and was unloaded. Wormell confided in a friend in Rio de Jenario that his first mate was not reliable. The friends then parted ways and the Deering set sail for Portland, Maine on December 2, 1920.
Trouble escalated when the ship docked in Barbados when McLellan was thrown in jail for drunken disorderly. Wormell got him out of jail, but McLellan threatened his life. The ship left for home on January 9. A light keeper by North Carolina next saw it on January 29. The light keeper said he heard a voice on the ship.

The man was standing on the quarterdeck and was not acting like an officer. The light keeper said the man had red hair. The man on deck said they had lost their anchor and where riding the winds to Cape Fear. He asked that the light keeper inform the Deering Company.
The ship was then seen hung up on the shoals off Cape Hatteras. The crew was gone and so were the navigating instruments, log, ship's clock and all the belongings of the crew. They could not salvage the ship. It was set to rest in the waters bottom. No one has ever been able to say what happened to the crew or the equipment that was missing.

It was later discovered that nine or more ships had the same strange occurrence happen at the same time as the Carroll A Deering. These ships disappeared with their crews. Was it Russians who wanted the cargo because of the embargo or was it pirates? A note washed up on shore in a bottle that said someone had boarded the Carroll A. Deering and it was an oil burning boat. They were taking everything and handcuffing the crew. No one could escape. The note said to inform the authorities. Was this note authentic? Why did the writer not sign his name?

Unexplained History

Myth or truth? Did Atlantis really exist? If so, why did it sink into the sea? Will its location ever be found or are treasure seekers Their wasting time searching for it? Possibly it never existed or if it did, it is lost to us forever; another mystery of history.

In 1795, young Daniel McGinnis spotted an unusual clearing under a tree on Oak Island in Nova Scotia. He excavated the site with a shovel. What he discovered was a real surprise to uterus and the world - layered wooden planks, Mats made of coconut fiber and mysterious stone slabs That descended deep into the earth. The Excavation is a flooding traps and it has thwarted the attempts of everyone WHO has tried to reach the pit's bottom. Many believe That pirates Their Buried treasure in the pit, and then the flood traps Used to Prevent others from entering. Drill borings have detected scarps of parchment paper, wooden chests and cement vaulting. What is this flood traps and what lies at the bottom of the pit? Will We ever know or will of the "money pit," as it has been dubbed, always Remain a Mystery?

On April 5, 1923, Lord Carnarvon, one of the men WHO discovered King Tut's Tomb, Died in the city of Aswan. At That precise moment, Cairo Experienced a power blackout Because of a lack of energy. The blackout lasted only five minutes, but the power station employees never Identified the cause. Were the death of Lord Carnarvon and the blackout a result of the Curse of Tutankhamen were the resource persons or the events just a coincidence? Another mystery of history That will of probably never be solved.

Virgin Mary Crying Blood?

"Just the fact that it's coming from the eyes, and it's a red color like blood, I would say that there's a miracle either way," said Dave Leatherby, who visited the statue. "Even if there's a natural explanation, it's a sign."

It is a sign that could mean something different to everyone who has traveled here to see it.

"With Christmas coming up, they say Jesus is the reason as opposed to the commercialization," Lana Cosentino said. "So maybe this is happening for a reason. I just think she's crying for all the sins of the world and everything."

Parishioners first noticed the tears almost two weeks ago. A priest was cleaning the statue and wiped away the stains only to see them reappear.

"We came here Thanksgiving night," Vivian Valles said. "The blood was on her chest. We came back the next day and it had run all the way down her dress."

Marlene Larkin traveled from Las Vegas, believing the Virgin Mary will help her battle breast cancer.

"I pray to Mary a lot," she said. "I felt like I need to be here to see this."

But father James Murphy of the Sacramento diocese shies away from calling this a miracle.

"These kinds of phenomena are fairly common," he said. "But the number that turn out to be miraculous are very, very rare."

However, it does bring more people to the church.

"I think we need to respect people's experience through the eyes of faith," he said. "And God does use these things to bring us closer to him."

Leatherby says: "I think many people have forgotten about God, and I think she's weeping about God's children who are lost and are searching, and looking for answers."

Church officials say they will investigate if the phenomenon continues. But for believers, or those seeking guidance, healing or inspiration, there is no need for proof.

What is Buried in the Oak Island Treasure Pit?

We all love stories about pirates, buried treasures, and unexplained mysteries. But what do all three of these things have in common? The Oak Island Treasure Pit.

Instead of treasure, the only thing anyone has ever found are strange traps, man made flood tunnels, logs, and secret codes.
Many excavations have been done over the centuries, yet the treasure has yet to be found.  What is the treasure, exactly?  That’s just it; nobody knows.  There is, however, an alleged “secret code” written in a strange inscription that was found on a tablet down inside the money pit.  Experts claim to have successfully deciphered the code.  It allegedly reads: "Forty feet below two million pounds are buried.”
Whether there really is two million pounds buried far below the earth’s surface is yet to be determined.  There are no known records, maps, or even slight hints about the treasure pit and its contents.  The first known record of the pit’s discovery was in 1795, when a teenage boy named Daniel McGinnis came across a round depression on the island’s southeastern end.  A ship’s tackle block sat on an overhanging branch of a nearby tree.  Curious, Daniel and some of his friends began to dig.  Around every ten feet or so, they came across logs.  Finally, after thirty feet, they gave up.
Several other attempts over the centuries have been made to uncover the secret once and for all.  How is it, that with modern technology, we are still unable to discover secrets that were hidden centuries ago?  A lot of time and effort was obviously put into making this strange money pit. Millions of dollars have been spent on excavations over the years, and some of the treasure hunters unfortunately lost their lives in the efforts.  Who would have had the technology and knowledge to built such a complex structure centuries ago, and what exactly were they hiding?  One would think that they were hiding something very important considering the lengths they went to do it.
Is the translation of the inscription correct?  Is there really two million pounds hidden well below the earth’s surface? And if so, who put it there?  Some believe it was pirates. Others believe it was French soldiers trying to keep money out of the hands of the English during the French and Indian War.  One theory goes as far as claiming that Sir Francis Bacon was behind it all.  Sir Francis Bacon was a very intelligent man who was fascinated with secret codes and strange inscriptions.  He was a very eccentric, yet enigmatic figure, and some even believe that he was the one who wrote Shakespearean plays.
It’s because of this belief that he was the true author of Shakespearean plays that leads people to believe that he may have hidden evidence down inside the Oak Island Treasure Pit. While it does seem far fetched, the entire Oak Island Treasure Pit itself is an enigma.  Whatever “treasure” is buried deep down under the earth’s surface, we may never know.  Still, we’ll continue to be intrigued and speculate.  We can only hope that whatever the treasure is, it will be something that goes beyond anything that we’ve ever imagined.

The Babushka Lady

During the analysis of the film footage of the assassianation of John F. Kennedy in 1963, a mysterious woman was spotten. She was wearing a brown overcoat and a scart on her head. She appears in many photos of the scene. Even after the shooting she remained in place and continued to film.
Shortly  after that she had seen moving away to the east up  Elm Street. The FBI publically requested that the woman come forward and give them the footage she shot but she never did.

In 1970 a woman called Beverly Oliver came forward and claimed to be the Babushka Woman, though her story contains  many inconsistencies. To this day, no one knows who the Babushka woman is or what she was doing there. More unusual is her refusal to come forward  to offer her evidence.

EXORCISM

Catholic Church has even developed  an own ritual for the exorcism.
The Roman Rites Register  dated 1614 is a classical guide for exorcism that is still applied today. It contains prayers, bible recitations ,litanies and formulas of banishment. Demons as well as angels are invisible for the human eye. But Both can assume a shape or slip into the body of an animal or a man. When the demon has taken possession of a man, then it will be spoken of a demonic possession. The expulsion of demons out of a man is called exorcism and is spread throughout all religions.
Exorcism belongs to the tasks of shamans and medicine men.
